To apply for Residency for Economic Solvency, the applicant may choose one of the following three investment modalities, designed to guarantee their stability and permanence in Panamanian territory:

  • Opening of a Fixed-Term Deposit: Establishment of a certificate of deposit for a minimum capital of $300,000.00 USD, maintained in a local banking entity for a period of no less than three (3) years.

  • Acquisition of Real Estate Assets: Direct investment in real estate for a minimum amount of $300,000.00 USD, free of liens or financing, and registered in the applicant's personal name. Additionally, proof of funds for subsistence expenses will be required.

  • Mixed Investment Strategy: A combination of real estate assets and fixed-term deposits in national banks that, together, reach the minimum value of $300,000.00 USD, complying with the ownership and permanence requirements described above.

To manage this file, the aforementioned investments must be submitted accompanied by the Common Admission Requirements, which include:

  • Power of Attorney and Application through an immigration lawyer in Panama.

  • Identity Documentation: A copy of the entire passport, duly cross-checked before a notary or competent authority, along with three (3) recent passport-sized photographs.

  • Certifications of Suitability: Criminal Record Certificate from the country of origin or last residence (duly apostilled or authenticated) and a Health Certificate issued by a qualified professional in Panama.

  • Declarations and Forms: Sworn Declaration of Personal Background form.

  • Tax Obligations: Proof of payment via certified checks; one for the sum of B/.250.00 in favor of the National Treasury and another for B/.800.00 in favor of the National Immigration Service.
