GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR IMMIGRATION VISA APPLICATIONS IN PANAMA

For any immigration process, all foreign nationals must meet these basic requirements:
  • Legal Representation: All visa applications must be processed through an attorney.

  • Age Requirements: There is no upper age limit for most visas; however, the minimum legal age to apply as a main applicant is 18.

  • Dependents: Minors under 18 can obtain a visa as dependents of their parents.

  • Document Validity: All documents must be recent, issued no more than 2 months prior to the application filing date.

  • Passport: Your passport must have at least 1 year of remaining validity.

  • Bank References: Bank reference letters are only valid for 30 days from their date of issuance.

  • Spousal Inclusion: If including a spouse, an original marriage certificate, properly apostilled, must be provided.

  • Children (Minors): If including minor children, an original birth certificate, properly apostilled, is required.

  • Dependent Children (Ages 18 to 25): Adult children up to age 25 may be included if they:

    • Are active full-time students,

    • Provide an official certificate of enrollment,

    • Provide a certificate of single status (unmarried).

  • Health Certificate: All applications require a health certificate issued by a licensed physician in Panama.

  • International Documents: Every document issued abroad must be apostilled.
